01General

These Terms govern your use of the Al Shawl House website and the purchase of our products and gift cards. We may update them from time to time; the updated version applies from the date shown above, and an order you have already placed stays governed by the Terms that applied when you placed it. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

02Products & Availability

All products displayed are subject to availability. We strive to ensure accurate product descriptions, but slight variations in colour, texture, or design may occur due to the handmade nature of our products and photography conditions.

03Orders & Payments

• An order is confirmed once payment has been received — for bank transfers, once our team has verified your transfer.
• We accept bank transfer and, where offered at checkout, card payment through our approved payment gateway (Thawani Pay). Card details are entered on the gateway's secure page and never reach us.
• For bank-transfer orders, please upload your proof of payment promptly. Because each piece is one of a kind, we may release an unpaid order after a reasonable time so the piece can be offered to others.
• Al Shawl House reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion — for example, due to errors in product pricing or stock issues.
• In the event of a cancellation by Al Shawl House, a full refund will be issued promptly.
• Orders can be checked, tracked and managed from your account. We will contact you by email and/or WhatsApp about your order where needed.

04Pricing, Currency & Promotions

• Prices are listed in Omani Rial (OMR). You may view approximate prices in other currencies with the currency selector; converted amounts are indicative only. The total shown at checkout is the amount that applies, and your bank or card issuer may apply its own exchange rate or fees.
• If a price or stock level is shown incorrectly, we may correct it or cancel the affected order before it is confirmed and refund anything you have paid.
• Sale prices apply to the pieces shown and while stock lasts. Discounts and sale prices cannot be applied retroactively to a completed order.
• Coupons and discount codes are valid only for the period and conditions stated, have no cash value, and may be withdrawn or voided if they are misused. Unless stated otherwise, one code may be used per order.
• All prices shown on our website are inclusive of Omani value added tax (VAT).
• Prices do not include import duties, customs charges or taxes charged by a destination country outside Oman (see Shipping & Delivery).
• Promotions and limited-time offers — including free-delivery offers such as free GCC delivery on orders over OMR 99 — run for a limited time only. Al Shawl House may change their conditions (such as the qualifying amount or eligible destinations), suspend them or end them at any time without prior notice. The offer shown at checkout when you place your order is the one that applies, and later changes do not affect orders already placed.

05Shipping & Delivery

Delivery fees depend on your destination and are calculated automatically at checkout from the rates below, which are the same rates our checkout uses. There is no minimum order to place an order for delivery — the only thing your order total affects is whether delivery is free. Where a destination has a free-delivery amount, delivery is free once your order total (after discounts) reaches that amount; below it, the delivery fee shown is added to your order.

These figures are read live from our delivery settings and may change; the rate shown at checkout when you place your order is the one that applies.

🏬 Pickup from our shop

Pickup from our shop in Muscat is always free and is offered as an option at checkout.

✈️ International delivery

We deliver to any destination for which a delivery rate is available at checkout, and there is no minimum order for it. Free delivery is offered only when your order total reaches the free-delivery amount shown for your destination (if it has one); otherwise the delivery fee for that destination is added to your order. If your country is not listed or not available at checkout, please contact us on WhatsApp and we will advise whether we can deliver.

⏱ Delivery times & couriers

Orders are prepared once payment is confirmed. Delivery times are estimates only and depend on the destination and courier. Parcels are delivered by third-party couriers, to whom we pass your name, delivery address and phone number so they can deliver to you.

🎁 Free GCC delivery — limited-time offer

For a limited time, delivery to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain is free when your order total (after discounts) is over OMR 99, as shown in the table above; below that amount the delivery fee for your destination applies. Delivery within Oman remains free on every order. This is a promotional offer: Al Shawl House may change the qualifying amount or eligible countries, or end the offer, at any time without prior notice. The offer shown at checkout when you place your order is the one that applies. T&Cs apply.

🛃 Customs, duties & taxes

For deliveries outside Oman, import duties, customs clearance charges, VAT or similar taxes imposed by the destination country are not included in our prices or delivery fees and are the customer's responsibility.

06Returns & Exchanges

In line with Omani consumer protection guidelines, you may request a return within 15 days of your order being delivered, under the following conditions. The full process is set out in our Returns & Refund Policy.

• The piece must be unused, unworn and in its original condition and packaging
• Return requests are made from your account, with the reason and a photo of the unopened piece, and are reviewed by our team before any pickup is arranged
• Gift cards and store credit are not refundable for cash (see Gift Cards)

07Gift Cards

• No Expiry: Gift cards do not expire and remain valid until the balance is fully used, unless voided due to misuse or fraud.
• Redemption: Gift cards can be redeemed only through Al Shawl House, via WhatsApp or Instagram by sharing the unique code.
• Top-Up: Customers may top up their existing gift card with additional value at any time by contacting our team.
• Security: If you believe someone has gained unauthorised access to your card, you may request to void or reissue it. Al Shawl House reserves the right to suspend or void any gift card suspected of misuse, fraud, or duplication.
• Non-Refundable: Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Balance Tracking: You can check your current balance anytime using our balance checker. Remaining balances can be used on future purchases.
• Wallet: Gift cards can be added to your Apple or Google Wallet. Send your code and email via WhatsApp and our team will assist.

08Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including logos, photography, product descriptions, designs and software — is the property of Al Shawl House (or its licensors) and may not be copied, reproduced, scraped or used without our prior written permission, except for your own personal, non-commercial browsing and shopping.

09Privacy

Your use of this website is governed by our Privacy Policy. We respect your privacy and take reasonable steps to protect your personal information. We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

10Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Al Shawl House's total liability for any claim connected with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. We are also not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as courier or customs disruption, natural events, or internet or payment-system outages. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under Omani consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be limited.

11Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it directly. If it cannot be resolved, the competent courts of the Sultanate of Oman have jurisdiction. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
